Connecting existing members of Race to Zero in Wales to support high ambition and to multiply impact by working together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"third-padding\">2. Encouraging new members to join Race to Zero in Wales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"third-padding\">3. Identifying practical needs and pursuing resources and to enable Race to Zero membership and delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"third-padding\">We want Wales to be the first Race to Zero Nation with coordinated, robust Paris Agreement-aligned action across all of Wales&#8217; key institutions and organisations. He was appointed in 2013 by then Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg, and has subsequently served the mayors of Rio, Paris, Los Angeles and, currently, Sadiq Khan &#8211; Mayor of London, in their capacity as elected Chairs of C40. Pelle manages a portfolio of national and international projects related to sustainable urban development and climate change. Among these he manages Realdania\u2019s grants to C40 Cities and associated projects. Before joining Realdania, Pelle was in public service as a Senior Advisor on the built environment to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and posted to the consulate general in New York City. Prior to that Pelle was Director at one of Scandinavia\u2019s largest contracting companies NCC, where he led a strategic business development team. Pelle is a board member of C40 UK. Pelle holds a Master\u2019s degree in Project Management in Construction from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Constructing Architecture and a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Philosophy from the University of Copenhagen. Her role is to ensure that the National Park is an exemplar in tackling the climate and biodiversity crises and she is forging ahead with creating a Park where nature and communities thrive. Prior to that Catherine was a senior civil servant in a number of diverse roles including Director of Growth at the UK Space Agency, where she led the work to shape and grow the UK space sector, and leading major business change and technology programmes as the Director of Technology for the UK Border Force. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Catherine has over 30 years of public service experience in frontline delivery, directing major programmes, providing policy advice and leading change. She has worked in central government, abroad in the Middle East and Africa and in regional government. Her first degree is in English, she has a Masters in European Politics and a Postgraduate diploma in Public Finance and Leadership from Warwick Business School. Catherine is a graduate of the Infrastructure and Projects Authority Project Leadership Programme.
